Taira is a genius bassist. Everyone says that he is too good for the time he lives in. Taira is the first that Ryūsuke chooses for his new band. The only condition for the bassist is to find a good vocalist. Taira is forced to choose between Ryūsuke's band and Eiji's band. But in the end he chooses Ryūsuke's. Yoshiyuki Taira is one of the people that sees the tremendous progress of Koyuki and one of the few who agreed for Koyuki to join the band. Little is known for Taira. He is closed up in him self and he doesn't show much of his feelings.
