Candice White Ardley is a blond girl with a manly character. Due to unknown reasons, she, and one other baby, is abandoned at Pony's Home, which is an orphanage. She has very wild childhood. She does tree-climbing, lassoes and other crazy things.
Most of the kids in the orphanage are adopted, even her best friend, which she was abandoned together with. However, noone is adopting her, because of her troublemaking character.
Finally she is taken by a family, which treats her bad, but this gives her a chance to be seen and adopted by the rich Ardley family. This gives her the opportunity to learn in an elite school, but despite the luxuries she has, the troubles don't stop. The rich kids are constantly making fun of her, because of her origin but she is not ashamed of it.
In the school, besides spoiled rich kids, she finds good and true friends. However, Candice feels that the school is not for her. Her destiny is to be a nurse and to help other people.
