Mako is Ryuuko's closest friend in the academy and her companion. She's not the brigthest and because of that lives in the poorest district in town. Her father works as an illegal doctor, her younger brother has the habit of stealing. Mako doesn't have any special skills. Her strongest character is her unyielding friendship. She often reacts primitively and carelessly. She frequently gets in conflicts with people who are stronger then her in the name of her friendship with Ryuuko. Because of that it's almost never dull around her. She's the person who can always motivate Ryuuko and pull her out of the abyss called revange.
