Roba Espa is a 16 year-old boy with a blue-green hair ad blue eyes. His favourite and most powerful card in his deck is Jinzo. Roba Espa appears for the first time in the "Battle City" tournament as a duelist who uses "telepathy" to beat his opponents. Actually he has 4 brothers who are located on a tall building and tell him his opponents' cards. Espa uses this strategy because if he loses, his brothers will be beaten. In his duel against Katsuya Jounochi, Espa loses. His brothers tell him that they do not care because he is the winner for them. Since then Espa plays by the rules without using "telepathy".
